Artist Sharing Sessions
At Elbe Valley Zouk, we believe in the power of authentic sharing. Our workshop format is designed as an open space where passionate Zouk artists from around the world come together to share the things they're most excited about.
Rather than traditional teaching, these are intimate explorations where each artist opens their creative process, invites you into their research, and co-creates new discoveries together. Each session is a unique journey into what moves and inspires these artists most deeply.
Movement & Embodiment
with Alex Siberian
I'll be sharing three different movement techniques and practices that can enrich your dance experience through embodiment sessions:
- Horton Technique- Dance body conditioning - building strength, flexibility, and coordination through this foundational modern dance technique.
- Limon Technique- Learning to use gravity, swing and bounce in your body - exploring the natural flow and weight dynamics that create effortless movement.
- Embodiment in Dance- Exploring concepts of silence, curiosity and play - discovering how presence and mindful awareness transform movement into authentic expression.
Playing with Fire
with Alex Firedancer
Join Alex Firedancer for an interactive and collaborative exploration where dance meets fire. In this unique workshop, we'll play and dance together with fire tools, creating a mesmerizing blend of movement and flame.
This is a hands-on experience where participants will learn to safely interact with fire props while incorporating dance and movement. Together, we'll explore how fire can become an extension of our expression, creating magical moments of shared creativity and wonder.
Ecstatic Zouk Set
with DJ Kron (Ondra)
Drawing from his extensive musical background and experience as a seasoned Zouk teacher and DJ at Zouk events across various continents, Ondra crafts his Ecstatic Zouk Set as a carefully curated musical journey. This unique set places special emphasis on musical diversity and storytelling, creating a narrative arc that gives the dance a special tension and dynamic flow, tailored specifically for this event.
His approach plays with conventions and contrasts, weaving together different musical styles and energies to create an immersive experience that challenges dancers to explore new dimensions of movement and connection. Each set is designed to take you on an emotional and physical journey through sound.
Embodied Research Lab
with Jacob
In this series of exchange based trainings I'd love to create a safe lab for us to investigate together what's beyond steps and patterns. Playing with my favorite exercises along the topics of body awareness, somatic listening, calibrating, and intentional presence we'll experience, experiment and exchange - in order to make our dancing colourful, grounded and real.
Guiding Topics

- 🤲How do we share responsibility for the space between us?
- 🎶How do we integrate anatomy and musicality into our choices?
- 🌗How do we create variation and contrast – regardless of dance proficiency?
- 🕊️How can we enjoy the dance with more freedom and less dependency?
Playful Rule Breaking
with Mariusz & Agata
What happens when we intentionally break the rules? Join Mariusz and Agata in an exploration of creative rebellion within the dance. This workshop is about becoming aware of the invisible rules that guide our movement, and then playfully dismantling them to discover new gateways to creativity.
Through guided exercises and improvisation, we'll investigate how constraints can actually liberate us, how "mistakes" become doorways, and how breaking patterns can lead to breakthrough moments in our dancing and connection.

Our beautiful venue is nestled in nature, offering the perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. Relax in our traditional Finnish sauna after intensive dance sessions, or explore the numerous hiking trails that start right from our doorstep.
Wake up early for a refreshing morning swim in the Elbe River - just a short walk through our mystical forest path. The surrounding woodlandinvites you to peaceful walks and quiet moments of reflection, making it the ideal retreat for both active exploration and gentle restoration.
